Job Description:
 

  • Participate in implementing technical office policies and procedures.
  • Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
  • Assign Cost estimation jobs for the Tech office Engineers
  • Revise the cost of any project after studying the given data
  • Revise Shop Drawings prepared by Tech office Engineers
  • Be responsible for the submitting of new contracts until reaching all the approvals needed
  • Attend meetings with consultants and/or designers of any projects to discuss technical matters and coordinate approval of shop drawings
  • Study and prepare requests for information (RFIs) for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
  • Prepare shop drawings
  • Supervise and review all documents issued by the technical office.
  • Coordinate the work of the technical office team and delegate tasks to them.
  • Solve any technical problems that rise.
  • Gather information (quantities and prices) from the technical office team needed to prepare the project budget.
  • Prepare the project budget and revise it with the top management.
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
  • Attend meetings with top management and construction manager.
  • Prepare employees evaluation and appraisal for the technical office team.
  • Interview new engineers and recommend the best nominees to the top management..
  • Plan and revise projects’ schedules and monitor project coordination activities to prioritize work assignments across the departments.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the department’s employees in head office and on site, whenever needed, and attend technical meetings on site to follow up and monitor progress, and ensure the smooth flow of technical operations.
  • Receiving and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractor’s technical offers and checking compliance with the tender / opportunities requirements.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil  or architecture Engineer
  • 7+ years experience in the Construction and Engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience in operations, engineering, site works, construction/site management, technical office, project evaluation and technical office management.Strong project management and negotiation skills.
