Job Summary

  • Compile and analyze financial transactions and similar information in order to prepare accounting entries.
  • Work with legal accountant to prepare budget by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
  • Oversee communication and credit terms compliance with local & foreign suppliers and payment follow-up.
  • Maintain and follow-up strong relationships with our bank / other bank staff while negotiating the best rates for the company whether annual credit terms or project by project requirement.
  • Overhaul and upgrade procurement department under management guideline.
  • Prepares monthly internal reports to send to ownership by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and real-time trends relating to all company division (Contracting, Sales / Trading, Bank facility schedules).
  • Oversees all matters related to general ledger, data entry / related accounting and working with company accountants / legal accountant including the month-end close process and preparation of all monthly financial reporting.
  • Implement and assist with installation, modifications, documentations, and coordination of new accounting software system.
  • Ensures the company’s profitability, liquidity, and solvency at all times.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, graduate studies are a plus (MBA,etc.) as well as proven management experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in construction or trading related accounting / finance practice. 
  • Excellent knowledge of construction industry highly preferred. 
  • Excellent English and Arabic – reading & writing. 
  • Excellent organizational skills in order to coordinate tasks within the accounting department and ownership.
  • Knowledge and experience of corporate tax.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result orientated.
  • Ability to schedule, prioritize, and assign all accounting work assignments and be able to work with a team in a harmonious environment while motivating staff / other senior accountants in the company. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse individuals.
