Job Summary
Our client is looking for a passionate and experienced Lebanese Executive Chef to lead our kitchen and elevate our Lebanese culinary offerings. You will be responsible for creating a delicious and authentic Lebanese dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, including menu development, recipe creation, food preparation, and presentation.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment for the kitchen team.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers.
- Manage food cost control and inventory.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on menu pricing and promotions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Lebanese culinary traditions and adapt them to a modern fine dining (or casual dining - adjust based on your concept) environment.
Job Requirements:
- Lebanese Nationality
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Executive Chef, Sous Chef).
- Proven experience in Lebanese cuisine, with a deep understanding of ingredients, techniques, and flavors.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in menu costing, inventory management, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
