Job Summary


Our client, a multinational catering company, is currently looking to hire a Barista for a coffee shop located in Dubai.
 

Job Description:
 

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas at all times.
  • Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Maintain inventory of coffee supplies, ingredients, and equipment, and communicate needs for restocking to management.
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance with company and local health standards.
  • Handle cash, process payments, and manage point-of-sale transactions accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods and special events.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or new hires as needed.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for menu enhancements and service improvements.

 

Job Requirements:


  • Minimum of 4 years and maximum of 6 years of professional experience as a barista or in a similar food and beverage role.
  • Proven expertise in preparing a wide range of coffee and espresso-based beverages.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
