Job Summary
Our client, a multinational catering company, is seeking a Bakery Chef with more than 10 years of experience.
Job Description:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all bakery products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards before serving or display.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and communicate needs for restocking.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demands.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to expand the bakery’s product offerings.
- Train and mentor junior staff or apprentices in baking techniques and safety procedures.
- Adhere to portion control and waste management practices to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Receive and inspect deliveries of bakery ingredients to ensure quality and freshness.
- Assist in planning and executing special orders, seasonal menus, and promotional events.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 year of professional experience as a bakery chef, pastry chef, or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes and baking procedures accurately.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards in a bakery environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site kitchen setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail in both preparation and presentation of baked goods.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and management.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
