Job Summary

Our client, a leading company in the Engineering Services sector, is looking for an experienced Head of Mechanical Engineering Department to lead the mechanical engineering team and oversee department operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering Department and design team.

Review and approve mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documents.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and other disciplines.

Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and project teams.

Monitor design quality, progress, and deliverables.

Participate in client meetings and provide technical solutions when required.

Manage resources, workload distribution, and team performance.

Ensure projects are delivered within the required quality and schedule.




Job Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

20+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Proven experience in consultancy / engineering design offices.

Strong experience in building services and MEP design.

Previous experience in a department head / design management role is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of international codes and standards.

Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.

Strong proficiency in relevant engineering design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
